Introduction

Journal of Azzaytuna University (JAZU) is committed to applying the highest professional and ethical standards in scholarly publishing. The journal seeks to publish original scientific research and studies that provide significant academic and intellectual value, in accordance with clear, transparent, and independent editorial procedures.

The editorial policy of the journal is based on the principles of research integrity, editorial independence, fairness, and transparency, while taking into consideration internationally recognized practices in academic publishing.

Editorial Independence

The Editorial Board of the Journal of Azzaytuna University is committed to maintaining independence in all decisions concerning the acceptance or rejection of manuscripts. Editorial decisions shall not be influenced by personal, institutional, financial, or other non-academic considerations.

Editorial decisions are based on the following scientific and academic criteria:

  • Scientific originality.
  • Quality of methodology.
  • Significance and scientific value of the results.
  • Soundness of scientific analysis.
  • Relevance of the manuscript to the journal's scope.
  • Compliance with research and publication ethics.
Editorial decisions shall not be affected by the author's nationality, gender, institutional affiliation, or any other non-scientific factor, except where required by applicable law. Editorial Board Responsibilities

The Editorial Board of the Journal of Azzaytuna University is responsible for the following:

Conducting an initial screening of submitted manuscripts.
Ensuring that manuscripts are consistent with the journal's scope.
Ensuring compliance with the journal's author guidelines.
Conducting an initial originality and similarity check.
Selecting qualified reviewers according to their expertise and specialization.
Ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of the peer-review process.
Making editorial decisions based on scholarly peer-review reports.
Handling complaints and appeals fairly and transparently.
Investigating suspected cases of research or publication misconduct.
Publishing corrections or retraction notices when necessary.

Conflict of Interest

Members of the Editorial Board must disclose any potential conflict of interest and refrain from participating in editorial decisions concerning manuscripts with which they are personally, professionally, or institutionally associated, or where any relationship may compromise the impartiality of the decision.

Fundamental Principle: The journal ensures that editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly and scientific considerations, free from personal, institutional, or financial interests.

Confidentiality

The Journal of Azzaytuna University is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts. The contents of a manuscript, the identities of authors, and the identities of reviewers shall not be disclosed except as required for the publication process or for the investigation of suspected research or publication misconduct.
