To facilitate the publication process and provide researchers with the information they need, the Journal of Azzaytuna University provides the following frequently asked questions about registration in the online journal system OJS, manuscript submission, similarity checking, peer review, editorial decisions, and publication.

01 Registration and Creating an OJS Account
How can I create a new account in the journal system?

If you wish to submit a manuscript to the Journal of Azzaytuna University, you must first create an account in the journal's online system, Open Journal Systems (OJS).

1  Access the official website of the JAZU.
2 Click on Register.
3 Enter your first name and last name.
4 Enter a valid and active email address.
5 Create a username and password.
6 Enter your institution and required academic information.
7 Select the Author role if you intend to submit a manuscript for publication.
8 Click Register to complete the account creation process.
What information is required to create an account?
  • First name.
  • Last name.
  • Email address.
  • Institution or university.
  • Country.
  • Username.
  • Password.
  • Academic discipline and research interests, when requested.
Do I need to select the Author role when registering?

Yes. If you intend to submit a manuscript for publication, you should select the Author role during registration, according to the journal's OJS configuration.

Can I create a new account if I already have an account?

Creating multiple accounts is not recommended. Please use your existing account to submit your manuscripts and follow all correspondence related to your submissions.

02 Login and Account Management
How do I log in to my account?

Click Login and enter your username and password to access your personal dashboard.

I forgot my password. What should I do?

Click Forgot Password and follow the instructions sent by the system to the email address associated with your account.

03 Manuscript Submission
How can I submit a manuscript to the journal?

After logging into your OJS account, go to your dashboard and click:

New Submission

Then follow the submission steps provided by the system, including selecting the appropriate section, uploading the manuscript, entering the metadata, adding co-authors, and reviewing all information before making the final submission.

Can I submit more than one manuscript using the same account?

Yes. You can submit multiple manuscripts using the same account. You do not need to create a new account for each manuscript.

Can I add more than one author to a manuscript?

Yes. All co-authors can be added during the submission process. Authors should ensure that names, affiliations, and author order are entered accurately.

04 Manuscript Requirements
What are the basic requirements for manuscript acceptance?
  • The manuscript must be original.
  • It must not have been previously published.
  • It must not be under review by another journal.
  • It must fall within the scope of the journal.
  • Authors must comply with the journal's Author Guidelines.
  • The manuscript must comply with research and publication ethics.
05 Similarity Check and Plagiarism
Is the manuscript checked for similarity?

Yes. Manuscripts undergo an initial screening before being sent for peer review. This process includes checking textual similarity and plagiarism in accordance with the journal's policies.

What happens if the manuscript exceeds the permitted similarity level?

The manuscript may be returned to the author for revision. In cases involving plagiarism or substantial unacknowledged direct copying, the manuscript may be rejected in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies.

06 Peer Review
What type of peer review does the journal use?

The Journal of Azzaytuna University follows a Double-Blind Peer Review process. The identity of the authors is not disclosed to reviewers, and the identity of reviewers is not disclosed to authors.

How are reviewers selected?

Reviewers are selected based on their academic specialization, expertise, and scientific competence, while maintaining independence and avoiding conflicts of interest.

07 Editorial Decision
What editorial decisions can be issued?
  • Accept the manuscript.
  • Accept subject to minor revisions.
  • Major revisions required.
  • Resubmit for further review.
  • Reject the manuscript.
08 Publication Fees

No Publication Fees

The journal does not charge any fees for publishing research articles, including submission fees or Article Processing Charges (APC).

Does the journal charge submission or publication fees?

No. The Journal of Azzaytuna University does not charge any fees for manuscript submission or publication, including Article Processing Charges (APC).

09 Digital Object Identifier (DOI)
Do published articles receive a DOI?

Published articles are assigned a DOI in accordance with the journal's procedures and the registration of article metadata with the appropriate DOI registration agency.

10 Research and Publication Ethics
What is the journal's policy regarding plagiarism?

The journal is committed to preventing plagiarism and unethical publication practices. Cases of suspected plagiarism are handled in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics Policy.

Can I submit the same manuscript to another journal at the same time?

No. A manuscript submitted to the Journal of Azzaytuna University must not be simultaneously under review or consideration by another journal.

11 Publication
When will my manuscript be published after acceptance?

After the manuscript has been accepted and all required revisions, editorial procedures, technical processing, and final proofreading have been completed, the article will be scheduled for publication in the appropriate issue according to the journal's publication schedule.

12 Tracking Your Submission
How can I track the status of my manuscript?

Log in to your OJS account and go to your Dashboard to monitor the status of your manuscript, correspondence, editorial decisions, and other updates related to your submission.

How can I contact the journal?

You can contact the Editorial Office of the Journal of Azzaytuna University through the official contact information published on the journal's website.

Important Notice for Authors: Please read the journal's Author Guidelines and publication policies carefully before submitting your manuscript. Make sure that all required information and files are complete and accurate. Authors are also advised to use only one account in the journal's OJS system and to maintain an active and valid email address to ensure that all correspondence and notifications related to their manuscripts are received.
